All vines on the entire 50ha+ estate are certified organic, with no chemical products used in the vineyards at all. Essential oils and natural preparations (horsetail & willow amongst others) are used in the vines to protect against fungal diseases, and manual harvests are conducted for all vines. Cover crops such as rye, mustard & faba beans are planted between rows for nitrogen and to promote biodiversity, as well as eco-grazing by sheep in the vineyards. The team are slowly moving toward Biodynamic practices and hope to reach the point in the next few years where they can officially start the conversion process.
