In 1994, father Joël decided to change his career from raising unprofitable Charolais beef cattle
and invest instead in his passion for wine by acquiring Combe. He was joined by his son, Richard, a banker by training, but who was at that time tending goat herds in the Aveyron. By combining their respective passion and talent, they would be able to provide an initial income from the dairy, with the goats providing organic manure for the vines. In January 2003, the two were joined by Frédéric, Joël’s younger son.
Organic Gamay from the Côte Roannaise. Oodles of blueberry fruit, gushing with bright acidity. Lovely balance.
