Charles Hours produces a Moelleux, Uroulat, made from Petit Manseng, which is rich and generous, and because of the dry climate tends to be made with passerillage rather than botrytised grapes. Everything here is totally natural. Charles Hours’ wines are barrel fermented (20% new for Uroulat) and seem beautifully pure, just like the glorious hillside where he lives surrounded by his vineyards. A graceful balance between ripe exotic fruit and liveliness.
