País, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan is a very typical blend from Maule.
País was the first grape ever introduced to Chile, and there are plenty of old vineyards of this grape. unfortunately, it is wrongly considered by many to produce low quality wine and nobody is planting it.
Carignan was introduced at a similar time as Cabernet, but was really widely planted after the 1939 earthquake that affected the Maule, it is considered a variety that adds colour and structure to País.

País provides the gentle fruit, Cabernet the structure and Carignan the colour and acidity. The result is an easy drinking, fresh red with some structure and savoury character. A very tasty blend.

70% País, 11.5% Carignan and 18.5% Cabernet Sauvignon
