Domaine de Boischampt, created in 1642, takes full advantage of its heritage, with 15 hectares in production on a pristine terroir of blue stone soils. Under new ownership since 2018, the property is now certified organic. Fermentations are spontaneous, with no fining or filtration, and sulphites are used only at bottling. The vineyard was planted in 1993 and again in 2019 on deep, blue stone soils with a northeast exposure. The soil is worked under the vine, with controlled natural grass cover between the rows. Green cover crops are also planted in certain years. The plots have been certified organic since 2022. The total harvest area is 0.8242 hectares, and the grapes were hand-harvested on September 27, 2023. The grapes were vinified as whole clusters without the addition of sulphur. Fermentation lasted for 10 days, followed by a five-month maturation in concrete tanks. The wine was bottled without filtration on February 3, 2025. A very pretty and well balanced Beaujolais Villages with great concentration of fruit and supple tannins.
