A selection of wines that are perfect for picnics! A light refreshing red, a lovely well balanced rosé from Languedoc and a well made Crèmant de Limoux.

Domaine Mont d’Hortes, Rosé, Cotes de Thongue x 2

A delightful 30-hectare property owned and run by the expert oenologist Monsieur Roc Anglade. All the wines are Côte de Thongue, Indication Géographique Protégée, and the vineyards are located 60km southwest of Montpellier, very close to the sea. None of the wines goes through malolactic fermentation in order to retain acidity and freshness and no wood is used. The rosé is really delicious and great value for such quality. A great source for single domain wines at very reasonable prices.

Domaine Pre Baron, Gamay, Touraine x2

The Gamay is hand-picked and fully carbonic-macerated. No oak, just vibrant, crunchy, classic Loire Gamay. A grown up Gamay. Concentrated aromas of ripe dusty raspberries, cherry conserve supported by pleasant lingering fine tannins and a lovely crunch of acidity.

J Lauren’s, Cremant de Limoux x2

Featured in Decanter's top 25 tasting Crémants. It really is a cracking Crémant with a pleasantly gentle fizz. Bright, crisp and citrussy, with just a hint of yeasty savouriness overlaying the lovely pure fruit. Superb value.

Chardonnay 60%, Chenin Blanc 30%, Mauzac Blanc 10%
