Within 1er Cru Maladière, Les Héritiers own just under 1ha of 50 year old Pinot Noir vines, on a steep, south-facing, stony limestone slope. As is the practice at Les Héritiers, vines are managed sustainably and harvesting is by hand, allowing sorting to take place directly in the vineyard.
Garnet red with fragrant raspberry and cherry-scented fruit which is ripe and concentrated. The brillliant fruit-forward style is matched with some gamey Burgundian complexity married with a tight-knit but supple structure and classic Beaune acidity.
