Avon is a wine farm on the rugged slopes of the Olifantsberg Mountain in the Breedekloof Valley. In 1977 Clairette Blanche bush vines were planted and almost forgotten, until the vineyard was salvaged more than four decades later. This wine is hand crafted with minimal interference allowing the fruit of these once untended, unirrigated old bush vines to express a unique provenance. Delicate aromaitic, lychee aromas with greengage and citrus fruit. Textural palate with baked apricots and ripe citrus fruits with a smooth, seductive finish. This is a serious wine.
