Alex Favier sources the grapes for his IGPs from land the family owns in the Vaucluse; grapes for this come from 2 lieu-dits in Travaillan to the west of Gigondas. Cicada takes its name from famed ‘singing cicadas’ of Provence. Fresh ripe red fruits on the nose, flavours are more dark cherry with a touch of spice. The Carignan adds soul to the vibrant Grenache, nicely balanced acidity with smooth tannins.
